My role: Supported the team lead on database design and product definition. Responsible for mobile development in KMP for Android and iOS.
- Kotlin Multiplatform
- Jetpack Compose
- Material 3 Expressive
- SwiftUI
- Koin
- Ktor
- SQLDelight
Problem
Build an educational app for children that works on both Android and iOS, without duplicating business logic across platforms.
Architecture
Kotlin Multiplatform with shared logic: Koin for dependency injection, Ktor for networking, SQLDelight for persistence. UI is native on each platform: Jetpack Compose + Material 3 Expressive on Android, SwiftUI + glassmorphism on iOS.
Decisions
KMP to share business logic without sacrificing a 100% native UI on each platform — the experience feels native on both sides, while the app’s core lives in one place.
My role
4-person team. I supported the team lead on database design and shaping the product idea, and was responsible for mobile development in KMP for both Android and iOS.
Result
Working app with native UI on both platforms (Compose Material 3 Expressive on Android, SwiftUI with glassmorphism on iOS), with shared business logic via KMP.
